The EUROPRIX Multimedia Awards are Europe’s contest for students and young professionals who work on innovative projects in the field of e-contents and design - using whichever multimedia channel or platform.
Who supports the EUROPRIX Multimedia Awards?
The EUROPRIX Multimedia Awards are supported by the Austrian Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Labour as part of their market support for digital economy. Private sponsors are our key supporter.

In which categories can I enter my projects?
› Online / Web Projects: All web and internet contents and applications, especially those showing the potential of broadband experience demonstrating high interactivity, global connection, real-time and streaming media, and up-to-date communication.
› Offline Projects / Interactive DVD: Classic und future multimedia projects with a strong emphasis on telling a story in an emotional, expressive and media rich way.
› Mobile Applications: Innovative contents and applications using the potential of compact, mobile and communication-intensive platforms focusing on new multimedia solutions.
› Games: Pulsating contents with high speed interactions, highly involving and giving a rush to users.
› Interactive Computer Graphics: Visually explosive contents transforming reality and seducing users into virtual worlds of cyber world narratives.
› Content Tools & Interface Design: Powerful content tools, content management systems and technological innovations concerning new ways in interface design.

How can I submit a project?
Please fill in the online registration which you will find here as of March 15 2008.
The registration will be organised in two steps:
1) Registration of basic data
After filling in the basic data about you and your project (name, university, date of birth, category, product name etc.) you will receive an email with an ID number and a password. Follow the instructions of this email for completing the registration.
2) Registration of detailed data
Login in at the registration page with your username and password and fill in all the required details.
In addition please fill in the release form and fax it to the EUROPRIX office, pay the participation fee and send your project (screenshots, DVDs, CD-Roms etc.) to:
EUROPRIX Office c/o ICNM – International Center for New Media Moosstrasse 43a A-5020 Salzburg
What do I have to do with my ID and password?
Please keep your ID and password until the registration deadline. With the ID and password you can login at the registration page to change your data and to see the status of your registration (release form received, payment received, registration finished). Further the ID number must be used in all communication in with the EUROPRIX Office.
How much is the participation fee?
50 Euros for participants coming from Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Iceland, Israel, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UK
25 Euros for participants coming from Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Romania, Turkey
In which language must a product interface be entered?
The product interface can be in any language of the participating countries.
In which language do I have to fill in the release form?
All registration documents must be in English.
What sorts of products are eligible to enter?
Demonstrations and prototypes cannot take part in the contest. The products must have been released and published/completed in 2007 or 2008.
When is the closing date for the submission?
Submission deadline is June 30, 2008
Why do I have to sign the release form?
By signing the release form, which will be send to you per email directly after completing the online registration, you state that you own the necessary rights to permit partly presentations and publications for promotion purposes by the EUROPRIX Office. By sending back the signed release form you allow the EUROPRIX Office to promote your project all over Europe.
What is the EUROPRIX Multimedia Festival?
The Festival showcases and promotes the top students and young professionals and awards them for their outstanding achievements. Over three days, this event frames the platform for networking, exchange of ideas, experiences and business contacts between the multimedia newcomers, instructors, the European IT-industry and IT-media editors and journalists. The "Kunsthaus Graz" will be the multimedia homebase as it plays host to this very special group of people. Workshops, company keynotes, exhibitions and product live- presentations of the Finalist Teams will introduce visitors to a new world of multimedia. During the glamorous EUROPRIX Gala the winners will be announced and celebrated. Not to forget the Party Nights…
