Academic Network Conference 2010
The EUROPRIX Academic Network Conference is a multi-disciplinary European conference organized by the European Academy of Digital Media (EADIM) and supported by the International Centre for New Media (ICNM) and the Austrian Ministry of Science and Research.
The objectives of the EUROPRIX Academic Network Conference are to bridge the gap between research, practice, and pedagogy in the fields of Multimedia and e-Content.
The EUROPRIX Academic Network Conference 2010 will take place in Graz, November 11, in the context of the EUROPRIX Award Festival (November 11-13).


Purpose of Conference
Twenty years ago the World Wide Web created dramatic changes in media education. The media ‘landscape’ continues to develop and evolve with each month bringing new products and technologies into the market. The convergence of media forms and digital technologies signals an unprecedented revolution in media production and modes of distribution.

How are universities, academics and trainers responding to the challenges and opportunities of evolving digital media and teaching and learning with digital natives?

Speakers and Participants will discuss and share ideas about the following topics:
1. Best practice in teaching & learning
2. Evaluating the past, innovating the future
3. The fourth screen - mobile platform opportunities
4. Multimedia, new media, digital media or just media?
5. Social online platforms and the culture of sharing.

Who should participate?
The conference is an opportunity to discuss potential opportunities for cooperation and partnerships between universities, institutions, courses and projects. Academics, researchers, instructors, students, public institutions and all those involved in the field of Multimedia and e-Content are invited to share ideas and collaborate.


Publication of peer reviewed papers
Authors of accepted abstracts will have to provide a full revised version of their paper (max. 20 pages, 12pt font, double line spacing) for publication by December 12. Full papers will be published by the Deutsche Universitätsverlag / DUP - Germany University Publishing House in a series edited by Prof. Peter A. Bruck. The proceedings will be co-edited by Prof. Richard Vickers, University of Lincoln (UK).

Regular Fee: € 250
Reduced Fee: € 150 for Members*
Student Fee: € 50
Including conference beverages and lunch, full access to the EUROPRIX Multimedia Festival and EUROPRIX Gala.
Accommodation and travels costs are not covered.
